Baer Essentials Identity
A side hobby for local maker Lori Gates, Baer Essentials is a company specializing in naturally scented soy candles. The name comes from her mother’s maiden name “Baer” and describes the premise of her product; the bare essentials (soy wax, wick, scent, in a container).
The branding is meant to exude this simply natural product. A soy plant leaf is hand-drawn to create the monogrammed “B” mark. Soft greens again play to the soy plant ingredient while the deep purple brings forth the sense of energized sophistication to the brand. Plus, purple is simply Lori’s favorite color.
