Post-it Part of the Process Ad Campaign
A branch of the 3M companies, the Post-It Notes brand of today is a strong staple in the office supply cabinet. Still, they weren’t the product of some intentional master plan, rather the result of happenstance. Dr. Spencer Silver was experimenting at the 3M labs, trying to come up with a stronger adhesive. What he came across instead was “microspheres” which were able to stick, be removed, and “restick” to things. And so, the Post-It Note was born.
Since then, Post-It Notes dominate the to-do list and reminder industry. However, with different technologies of today able to do the same sorts of things without the waste, sticky notes are becoming somewhat obsolete. It’s time they branch out and introduce a new sort of Post-It Note pastime.
I know it, you know it, and we all know it: Post-it Notes are great for brainstorming. They’re a creative tool that helps encourage active problem solving and collaboration. The objective of this advertising campaign is to remind creatives of this handy little tool that they may have been missing out on up until now. It starts with a brainstorming prompt for creative to join in on and the rest of the campaign is in the doodles.
